Meetings:
WHaQ! (We're Here and Queer!) was founded in Bangalore, India in August 2009 by a small group of women who wanted to create a support space for queer, lesbian, bisexual, transgender women in Bangalore that is social, warm and inviting.
What followed was a lot of fun, and a lot of silliness. Most importantly: We're Here, and Queer.
We have created a safe haven of support and love for our Queer Sisterhood and we welcome any and all tat would like to be a part of that nest. We hold regular meetings for Queer Women. This is a new and vibrant group, and it's an exciting time for us!
In our meetings, we talk about everything a Queer/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender Woman faces today: from coming out to friends and family, to relationship issues, to women's issues as a part of the greater world. Ours is a casual and friendly space used by women to comfort, to learn, and share with. We plan formal and informal social events, and have co-hosted (with GAY) the Bangalore Queer Film Festival and Bangalore Pride activities since our founding.
